MyIDVerify is a new feature in MyDigital ID where the user uses MyDigital ID to perform face verification for new SIM card registration and for verifying or “whitelisting” an existing mobile number.

In today’s digital world, smartphones are a vital part of how we communicate and go about our daily lives. This is why protecting your mobile number is more important than ever. Starting 1 December 2025, all telecommunications companies in Malaysia will begin integrating MyDigital ID into their mobile apps. With our MyIDverify technology, this nationwide rollout allows users to check which prepaid numbers are registered to their MyKad, while ensuring that new SIM card registrations are carried out in a safer and more transparent way. This initiative is backed by the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA) and coordinated by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). It represents a joint effort to strengthen the country’s cyber security and ensure that everyone can access digital services with greater confidence and peace of mind. Whitelisting is the process of verifying the user’s mobile number to ensure that the number being registered, or already registered, truly belongs to the user. This process uses the MyIDVerify technology developed by MyDigital ID.
1. User must already have a MyDigital ID certificate. 2. User must ensure their MyDigital ID certificate is still active and not expired. 3. User must enable notifications for the MyDigital ID app. 4. User’s current face should match the photo on their MyKad. If there is a significant difference between the MyKad photo and the user’s current appearance, the user is advised to apply for a new MyKad before proceeding with MyIDVerify.
1. User open the telco application (e.g., MyDigi). 2. User register a new SIM card or check your mobile number. 3. User chooses to verify your face via the MyDigital ID app. 4. User will receive a notification from the MyDigital ID app. 5. Users tap the notification to begin verification. 6. In the MyDigital ID app, user agrees to proceed with MyIDVerify 7. User records a selfie video for face verification. Tips: • Ensure you are in a bright area. • Hold the phone steadily. • Keep your face in the frame. • Remove hats, glasses, or other accessories. 8. User will be redirected back to the telco app to complete the process .
